In late 2018, Royal Caribbean International will have a dedicated cruise ship terminal for its Oasis class at Port Miami. The “Crown of Miami” will encompass 170,000 square feet. The facility will be located at the northeastern area of the port and have parking for 1,000 vehicles. By 2018, there will be four Oasis class ships, which will include a sister ship to the current world’s largest, Harmony of the Seas.
When completed, Royal Caribbean is projected to have approximately 30% of the Port Miami cruise market. The big three Florida cruise ports, (Port Everglades, Port Miami and Port Canaveral) will all now have an Oasis class vessel sailing from their berths. Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and the currently constructed, not yet named sister ship of the Harmony.
